Graduation

Once you have completed the registration form, you are automatically registered in our system. We look forward to celebrating with you.  

Please note: You will not receive a confirmation e-mail! Around two weeks prior to the ceremony, you will receive an e-mail containing all relevant information concerning the process including the Zoom link. 

Yes, we will record the ceremony and make the recording available to you afterwards. 

If you want, you can send us a picture of yourself for our slideshow. Please send it to graduierung-fs-fernstudium@iu.org.  

Please note: Your e-mail must indicate the date you registered for. Include the date of your ceremony in the subject line, in the text or in the file name!  

We honour the best final papers with the Best Thesis Award. The winners receive a certificate as well as prize money. The award is given out live during the graduation ceremony.  

Please note: Only final papers graded 1.0 can be considered for this award. If you obtained this grade, please include this information when registering for the graduation ceremony.  

In addition, we need the names of your first and second examiners to contact them after your registration. Participation in the Best Thesis Award is voluntary. You do not have to participate, even if you obtained a 1.0 grade. 

Please also note: We will double-check your statement! If you knowingly make false declarations, you will be excluded from the ceremony. 

Of course! Simply share the Zoom link with them. Please note: To categorise participants, we ask all guests to preface their name with “guest” (e.g. Guest – Max Mustermann). 

We send out your graduation package free of charge to addresses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Deliveries outside of this region are not possible. If you have friends, family or acquaintances in this region, we can send your package to them. We prioritise these packages so they can reach their final destination in good time. For this, please get in touch with graduierung-fs-fernstudium@iu.org. 

If the package hasn’t been delivered three days prior to the ceremony, please get in touch with graduierung-fs-fernstudium@iu.org. We will review your case as soon as possible and possibly send out a new package by express.
