The most important economic and social development of our time is digitalisation. Digital technologies not only permeate all areas of interpersonal communication, but also determine our economic activities. In doing so, they not only reproduce existing forms, but also enable new business models that were not possible before. A characteristic feature of this is the consistent use of data. No matter when, no matter where. Data Science is, therefore, the core science of all digitisation processes.

The online study programme Data Science covers, among other things, the areas of Data Preparation, Visualisation and Analysis. You learn to approach Data Science problems methodically, purposefully and logically. The focus is primarily on practical problem-solving skills.

What does the content focus on? The Bachelor's study programme in Data Science contains all relevant knowledge areas such as Data Visualisation, Data Analysis, Machine Learning and Software Engineering and aligns them perfectly. The focus in the development of individual topics is always on practical problem-solving skills. In the course of your studies, you will also develop a portfolio that contains various work samples and scientifically documents the competencies you have achieved.

Our Bachelor's degree programme is modular, i.e. you study based on subject areas that are divided into so-called modules. After successfully completing the modules, you will be credited with ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System), which document your achievements. These ECTS points are internationally comparable and, of course, recognised.

Depending on your personal or professional situation, full-time study is not always easy to manage. That is why we have also developed part-time programmes for all our degrees, which offer flexible and longer study periods. This way, you can study alongside your job or during your time off, whether at home or abroad. The content of the different models is identical. Depending on the study model, we will adjust your tuition fees accordingly. With the part-time variants, your weekly study workload is reduced.

Can't finish your degree in the allotted time? No problem! We will develop the right study model for everyone. If you realise that you need more time, you can easily switch to another study model with three months’ notice before the end of the month. These are our different study models:
