Bachelor's programme Betriebswirt­schaftslehre – Industrial Management

Have you completed training as an industrial manager and want to accelerate your career? Then our distance learning programme in "Betriebswirtschaftslehre – Industrial Management” is perfect for you. You get the chance to complete your studies in only three semesters: thanks to your vocational training, you are automatically credited with 90 ECTS credits, which cuts your standard study duration in half.

You can also decide when, where and how you study. Thanks to our online campus, the IU Learn app and your AI-supported study assistant Syntea, you have everything you need to create your own schedule.

How your studies get you ahead:

• You deepen your knowledge in an academic degree that builds on your knowledge and skills from your vocational training.

• Your studies focus on industrial economics. Here, you deal with basic business administration and acquire both methodical and practical competencies.

• After graduating, you can find work in medium-sized and large companies, in various positions and at various career levels.

Da Du eine abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Industriekaufmann:frau mitbringst, verkürzt sich Deine Studienzeit um die Hälfte. Das heißt, Dir werden automatisch alle Module der ersten drei Semester angerechnet. Du startest Dein Studium also mit den Modulen des 4. Semesters.

Im Studiengang Betriebswirtschaftslehre - Industrial Management werden Dir vor allem fachliche und methodische Kompetenzen vermittelt. Dabei beschäftigst Du Dich mit Themen wie z.B. Unternehmensplanung und -kontrolle, Leadership 4.0, wissenschaftlichem Arbeiten oder Digital Future Industry. Außerdem hast Du die Möglichkeit, Dein Karriereprofil ganz individuell zu schärfen, indem Du zwei Wahlpflichtmodule z. B. aus den Bereichen Innovation im Digital Environment, Grundlagen der industriellen Softwaretechnik oder Green und Social Logistics wählst.

Depending on your personal or professional situation, full-time study is not always easy to manage. That is why we have also developed part-time programmes for all our degrees, which offer flexible and longer study periods. This way, you can study alongside your job or during your time off, whether at home or abroad. The content of the different models is identical. Depending on the study model, we will adjust your tuition fees accordingly. With the part-time variants, your weekly study workload is reduced.

Can't finish your degree in the allotted time? No problem! We will develop the right study model for everyone. If you realise that you need more time, you can easily switch to another study model with three months’ notice before the end of the month. These are our different study models:
